  1. 24 hours before your appointment safely exfoliate with an oil free exfoliant. This is the most important aspect of your before-appointment regimen.  By exfoliating, you are turning your skin into a clean slate for your tan consultant. Properly exfoliating with an oil free product like Aviva labs' Deep Clean, can increase the life of your tan by up to three days!
  2. On the day of the appointment, shower as normal and be careful to rinse off all of the shampoo and soap. Do NOT apply any deodorant, moisturizer, lotion, cream, or makeup before your spray tan.
  3. What to Wear to Your Appointment: Aviva Labs' solutions are oil-free, which means they will not stain your clothes, bed sheets or your couch; however, we do suggest you wear dark, loose clothing so that your clothing doesn't rub against the spray tan while it is setting and disturb the application.

 After getting a spray tan, the immediate priority is to let it develop without interference.  Avoid Showering, sweating, or getting wet for several hours. Your consultant will give you a specific development time before your first rinse.

  2. Wear Loose Clothing: This prevents rubbing and streaking, especially dark-colored clothing to avoid potential staining.
  3. Be Mindful of Surfaces: Avoid sitting on leather or light-colored fabrics that could transfer the bronzer.
  4. Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Don't use products with alcohol, mineral oil, or other harsh ingredients that could affect the tan.

 Once your development time arrives it is CRUCIAL that you rinse the formula to prevent over development of the tan and the risk of a bronzy (fake tan) color.




  1. Rinse Gently:  Use lukewarm water and your hands to wash off the cosmetic bronzer; avoid scrubbing or using soap!  WATER ONLY.  Soaps and Shampoos can lessen the quality of your spra

 Once your development time arrives it is CRUCIAL that you rinse the formula to prevent over development of the tan and the risk of a bronzy (fake tan) color.




  1.   2. Pat Dry: Don't rub your skin with a towel; pat it gently to avoid exfoliating the tan.
  3. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! A spray tan's worst enemy is dry skin; a spray tan's best friend is a moisturizer with DHA infused into the formula, like Aviva Labs' Skin Glow Light Tan Extender. By using Skin Glow on a daily basis, your skin will stay soft, supple and most importantly tanned for days longer!

You may resume showering with soap and shampoo 24 hours after application. Certain activities will shorten the life of your tan. 





  1. Activities that may shorten the life of your tan include: Pool/Ocean Water, scratching, tight clothing, exfoliants, Acne medicine, sun burns, bra straps, and purses.
  2. Activities that may lengthen the life of your 

You may resume showering with soap and shampoo 24 hours after application. Certain activities will shorten the life of your tan.

These solutions are sprayed on your skin and left on from 8-12 hours.  Eight hours is the minimum time that this solution needs to remain on the skin to produce a developed tan.  Specific development time will be decided at your appointment after consultation with the stylist depending on client desires and skin type.  These solutions do not contain, oil alcohol, fragrance, parabens, nuts deodorants or erythrulose.

Rapid Rinse Time Solutions

These solutions are sprayed on your skin and left on from 30 minutes - 6 hours. Thirty minutes is the minimum time that this solution needs to remain on the the skin to produce a developed tan.  Specific development time will be decided at your appointment after consultation with the stylist depending on client desires and skin type.  These solutions do not contain, oil alcohol, fragrance, parabens, nuts, deodorants or erythrulose. 

Anti-Aging/Moisturizing, Rapid Rinse Time Silk Island Solutions -

$65

These solutions are sprayed on your skin and left on from 30 minutes - 6 hours. Thirty minutes is the minimum time that this solution needs to remain on the the skin to produce a developed tan.  Specific development time will be decided at your appointment after consultation with the stylist depending on client desires and skin type.  These solutions do not contain; oil, alcohol, fragrance, parabens, nuts, deodorants or erythrulose.  The Silk Island formulas with 24 organic and antiaging agents.
